South S.F. Startup Raises $65 Million for Its Smart-Tinting Glass Technology

South San Francisco-based Kinestral Technologies on Tuesday announced it has raised $65 million to help bring its new glass-tinting technology to market. The Series C round was led by one of its partners, Japanese glass manufacturer AGC, with participation from new investor Hermes-Epitek and existing investors 5AM Ventures, Alexandria Venture Investments, Capricorn Investment Group, Mitsubishi UFJ Capital and Versant Ventures.
